چکیده

We consider the stochastic optimal control problem of McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equation where the coefficients may depend upon the joint law of the state and control. By using feedback controls, we reformulate the problem into a deterministic control problem with only the marginal distribution of the process as controlled state variable, and prove that dynamic programming principle holds in its general form. Then, by relying on the notion of differentiability with respect to probability measures recently introduced by P.L. Lions in [32], and a special Itô formula for flows of probability measures, we derive the (dynamic programming) Bellman equation for mean-field stochastic control problem, and prove a verification theorem in our McKeanVlasov framework. We give explicit solutions to the Bellman equation for the linear quadratic mean-field control problem, with applications to the mean-variance portfolio selection and a systemic risk model. We also consider a notion of lifted viscosity solutions for the Bellman equation, and show the viscosity property and uniqueness of the value function to the McKean-Vlasov control problem. Finally, we consider the case of McKean-Vlasov control problem with open-loop controls and discuss the associated dynamic programming equation that we compare with the case of closed-loop controls. The paper is concerned with fully nonlinear second order Hamilton{Jacobi{Bellman{ Isaacs equations of elliptic type in separable Hilbert spaces which have unbounded rst and second order terms. The viscosity solution approach is adapted to the equations under consideration and the existence and uniqueness of viscosity solutions is proved. Stochastic Control Problems for Systems Driven by Normal Martingales

In this paper we study a class of stochastic control problems in which the control of the jump size is essential. Such a model is a generalized version for various applied problems ranging from optimal reinsurance selections for general insurance models to queueing theory. The main novel point of such a control problem is that by changing the jump size of the system, one essentially changes the...

Optimal Control for a Mixed Flow of Hamiltonian and Gradient Type in Space of Probability Measures

Abstract. In this paper we investigate an optimal control problem in the space of measures on R. The problem is motivated by a stochastic interacting particle model which gives the 2-D Navier-Stokes equations in their vorticity formulation as mean-field equation. We prove that the associated Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation, in the space of probability measures, is well-posed in an appropriatel...

Convergence by Viscosity Methods in Multiscale Financial Models with Stochastic Volatility

We study singular perturbations of a class of stochastic control problems under assumptions motivated by models of financial markets with stochastic volatilities evolving on a fast time scale. We prove the convergence of the value function to the solution of a limit (effective) Cauchy problem for a parabolic equation of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman type. We use methods of the theory of viscosity sol...

Bellman Equations Associated to The Optimal Feedback Control of Stochastic Navier-Stokes Equations

We study the infinite dimensional second-order Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations associated to the feedback synthesis of stochastic Navier-Stokes equation forced by space-time white noise. Uniqueness of viscosity solutions and short-time existence are proven for these infinite dimensional partial differential equations.
